ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The Gulf Cooperation Council has determined that Iran
expanded espionage missions in the region.
GCC officials said Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has
accelerated spying throughout the Gulf. They said IRGC has established cells
in all six GCC states and was recruiting both Sunnis and Shi'ites.
"We have detected a clear upswing in IRGC activities," an official said.
"They started in the Shi'ite communities, but they have since expanded and
now recruit Sunnis as well."
