IAI Prepares For Satellite Launch
LONDON [MENL] -- Israel has been preparing for the launch of its latest
communications satellite.
The state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries has been signing contracts
with Israeli and foreign companies for the assembly of the Amos-4
communications satellite. Amos-4 was scheduled for launch in 2012.
On Nov. 13, IAI signed a contract with France's Thales Alenia Space for
the development, delivery and installation of elements in the Amos-4's
ground segment. Executives said the contract would include communications
and space control stations.
