Algeria Orders French Naval Vessels
LONDON [MENL] -- Algeria has ordered naval vessels from France.
The Algerian Defense Ministry has ordered 21 fast patrol boats from
France's Ocea. Industry sources said the FPBs would conduct maritime
security missions for the Algerian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea and
Atlantic Ocean.
"The French have been waiting years for this contract," an industry
source said. "It opens up the Algerian Navy to French companies."
