Israel's Military Lacks Promotion System

JERUSALEM [MENL] -- Israel's military lacks a system for high-level
promotion, a government report said.
The report by the state watchdog asserted that the military has failed
to implement a system for the promotion of senior officers. The State
Comptroller criticized political intervention in the appointment of
officers to that of major general.
