AQAP Establishes Presence In U.S.

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Al Qaida's network in the Gulf was believed to have
established a presence in the United States.
The U.S. intelligence community has assessed that Al Qaida in the
Arabian Peninsula has established a network in the United States. In a
report, the community was believed to have determined that the network could
recruit and operate Americans for attacks in the United States and other
countries.
