UAE Defense Giant Struggles

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The state-owned defense industry in the United Arab
Emirates appears to be struggling with a revenue decline in related sectors.
The Abu Dhabi-owned Mubadala reported a loss of $1.2 billion, or 4.5
billion UAE dirham, for the first half of 2010. Mubadala, which directs the
UAE aerospace and defense sectors, said the losses reflected the company's
other industries.
