ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has been challenged by the
shortage of engineers and technicians required for a nuclear energy program.
Analysts said the UAE must establish an infrastructure to support any
nuclear effort. They said such a program must focus on the training of
personnel for nuclear operations and research.
"One of the biggest challenges for the UAE, if it goes nuclear will be
education and training," Yusuf Shatilla, a professor of nuclear engineering,
said.
