State Dept. Builds Military In Iraq

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The State Department has been building a veritable
military force amid the pullout of U.S. troops from Iraq.
Officials said the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security has
been preparing for the complete withdrawal of the U.S. military from Iraq.
They said the department was procuring an armored personnel carrier and
unmanned aerial vehicle fleet to protect its more than 2,000 diplomats and
staffers in Baghdad and missions around Iraq.
