UAE Turns To Expats For Security
ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates plans to expand the foreign
presence in the security forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council state.
Officials said UAE police intend to expand recruitment of foreigners.
They said the foreigners would be enlisted for such duties as administration
and community patrols.
"We will request expatriates to respect the local culture," Maj. Gen.
Nasser Salem Al Nuaimi, a senior Interior Ministry official, said.
