U.S. Pledges More Military Aid To Lebanon
NICOSIA [MENL] -- The United States, in wake of a decision by Congress, has
reaffirmed its pledge to continue military and security aid to Lebanon.
U.S. Central Command chief Gen. James Mattis visited Beirut on Nov. 19
and pledged that Washington would deliver additional weapons and
other military aid to Lebanon. Mattis said the U.S. aid would include
training as part of an effort to bolster Lebanon's military.
