Hizbullah Could Be Used Against NATO
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Hizbullah could be employed by Iran to strike NATO, a
report said.
The Washington Institute for Near East Policy has asserted that Iran
could decide to order Hizbullah to fire medium- and other rockets and
missiles toward NATO targets in the Mediterranean region. In a report by
senior researcher Michael Eisenstadt, the institute said Hizbullah might use
Lebanon, a Mediterranean state, as a launching pad for attacks in an effort
to overcome NATO's planned missile defense shield.
