Israel Rents Largest Fire-Fighting Plane

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- The United States has rented Israel the largest
fire-fighting plane in the world.
Officials said the administration of President Barack Obama has sent a
jumbo Boeing 747 aircraft to help extinguish the fire that has been raging
through northern Israel. The so-called Evergreen supertanker, scheduled to
arrive early Dec. 5, was described as the only fire-fighting plane that
could operate at night.
