Israel Still Seeks More F-35s
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Israel has not abandoned its drive for additional F-35
fighters from the United States.
Officials said the government of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has
continued to press the administration of President Barack Obama for at least
another 20 Joint Strike Fighters. They said the Israeli effort would not be
suspended by the withdrawal of a U.S. package of security guarantees in
exchange for the continuation of a Jewish construction freeze in Jerusalem
and the West Bank.
