UAE Seen As Model For GCC Missile Defense

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has been regarded as a model
for missile defense in the Gulf.
A leading analyst said the UAE was leading the six Gulf Cooperation
Council states in missile defense. The UAE, a neighbor of Iran, has ordered
such advanced ballistic missile defense assets as the PAC-3 and the Theater
High-Altitude Area Defense System from the U.S. company Lockheed Martin.
