Iran Influences Iraqi Security Officers
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Iran has installed at least hundreds of its agents in
security positions in Iraq, a report said.
The Washington Institute for Near East Policy asserted that Iran was
using a range of proxies to dominate Baghdad's government and security
forces. The institute, in a report by Michael Knights, cited Badr
Organization, said to have been responsible for the recruitment of at least
hundreds of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps agents into Iraqi
security forces.
