U.S. Offers Non-Lethal Platforms To Libya
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has been offering non-lethal military
platforms to Libya.
Officials said President George Bush has approved defense cooperation
talks that included arms sales to Libya. They said the Defense Department
and State Department were preparing briefings on military platforms that
would be available to Libya.
"We hope to give Libya enough information so that progress could be seen
early in the next administration," an official said.
