Syria Plays Role In Arms To Hamas
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's intelligence community has determined that Syria
was playing a major role in the flow of Iranian weapons to Hamas.
A report by the community's open-source institute asserted that the
regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad has become a waystation in the
shipment of Iranian missiles and other weapons to the Gaza Strip. The
Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center said Damascus was involved in
the Iranian shipment of 50 tons of weapons for Hamas, intercepted by the
Israel Navy in March 2011.
