CAIRO [MENL] -- The United Nations has introduced new security measures in
Khartoum's Darfour province.
The African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfour has imposed measures
to improve security for its 10,000 troops in Darfour. UNAMID said the new
measures would limit the movement of troops and vehicles in an effort to
prevent theft and assaults.
"These are precautionary measures that would guarantee the safety of
staff and property," UNAMID said on Dec. 12.
