UK Pleased With Israeli UAV
LONDON [MENL] -- Britain has expressed satisfaction with an Israeli-origin
unmanned aerial vehicle procured for the NATO military.
A British Defence Ministry report said the Israeli-origin Hermes-450 UAV
has been performing well in reconnaissance missions Afghanistan. The report,
released on April 17, said the British Army was operating the Hermes-450,
produced by Israel's Elbit Systems, and passed 30,000 operating hours.
"The Hermes 450 has achieved good results," the report, titled "The UK
Approach to Unmanned Aircraft Systems," said.
