MB Could Win 30% In Egypt's Elections
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The Islamic opposition hopes to win at least 30 percent
in Egypt's parliamentary elections later in 2011, a leading analyst said.
Saad Eddin Ibrahim, founder of the independent Ibn Khaldoun Center for
Development Studies, said the Muslim Brotherhood has concluded that it would
beat all other parties in parliamentary elections in September 2011.
Ibrahim, regarded as a leading Egyptian analyst and human rights activist,
said the Brotherhood, a major element in the opposition that overthrew
President Hosni Mubarak, held an advantage in size and organization.
