WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Army plans to phase out an Israeli-origin
unmanned aerial vehicle, deemed the workhorse of the service.
Officials said the army has not budgeted funds for additional
procurement of the
Israeli-origin Hunter UAV. They said the MQ-5B Hunter, which set the
standard for army UAVs, would be replaced by smaller and more modern
tactical platforms.
