U.S. Embassies Receives Suspicious Packages

NICOSIA [MENL] -- U.S. embassies have been receiving suspicious packages.
Officials said U.S. embassies in 18 countries have received envelopes
that contain white powder. They said the envelopes arrived at the embassies
since Dec. 8 in what appeared to be an organized effort.
"So far, it seems to be a way of testing our responses," an official
said. "The packages have not contained any dangerous substances."
