Kuwait Prepares To Cut Oil Projects
ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Kuwait, hit by the sharp drop in crude oil prices, was
preparing to reduce energy projects in 2009.
Officials said several energy projects would be suspended or canceled over
the next few months amid the expectation of a huge budget deficit over the
next year. They said the move would hamper the sheikdom's $55 billion five-year
plan to increase crude oil capacity to four million barrels per day.
