Kurds Claim Killing Many IRGC Troops
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- A Kurdish rebel group claimed to have killed more than
300 Iranian soldiers in July 2011.
The Free Life Party of Kurdistan has reported heavy battles with Iran's
Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps over the last month in Iraq's autonomous
area of Kurdistan. The Kurdish insurgency group, known by its acronym, PJAK,
said more than 300 IRGC soldiers, including three generals, were killed in
the campaign in Iraq's Kandil mountains.
