China's Military Woos Mideast

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- China's military has been wooing allies in the Middle
East, a report said.
A U.S. report asserted that China sought to expand military relations
with a range of allies in the Middle East. The Defense Department report,
submitted to Congress on Aug. 24, highlighted military exercises, visits and
operations in the Arab world and Turkey.
