Russian Scientists Help Iran's Nuke Program
LONDON [MENL] -- After years of suspicion, Western intelligence agencies
have determined that former Soviet scientists were providing significant
help to Iran's nuclear weapons program.
NATO intelligence agencies have concluded that Russia and its neighbors
of the former Soviet Union allowed hundreds of scientists to leave for work
in Iran to enhance its nuclear weapons program. Intelligence sources
said the Kremlin ignored reports that nuclear scientists from Russia as well
as neighboring Belarus and Ukraine were receiving handsome salaries and
benefits to resolve technical challenges by Teheran.
