Israel Accused Of Using Phosphorous Bombs
GAZA CITY [MENL] -- Israel, believed to have acquired an advanced
anti-personnel weapon, has been accused of firing phosphorous bombs in its
operation in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian and Western sources said Israeli artillery units have been
firing phosphorous bombs toward Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. They said
this marked a violation of international law.
"There is no doubt that Israel is using phosphorous bombs over Gaza,"
Palestinian Center for Human Rights director Raji Sourani said. "Israel is
flagrantly violating the Fourth Geneva Convention."
