French Senate Nixes Israeli UAV
LONDON [MENL] -- France's Senate has called on the government to reject an
Israeli offer of a military unmanned aerial vehicle.
The Senate, in a 33-3 vote, adopted an amendment that urged the
government to reverse its decision to purchase the Israeli-origin Heron UAV.
The amendment instead called for the Defense Ministry to procure the
U.S.-origin Reaper from General Atomics.
