BAGHDAD [MENL] -- The Iraq Army has advanced in a major U.S.
helicopter program.
Officials said the army's Aviation Command has flown its U.S.-origin
T-407 armed helicopters. Iraqi pilots from Squadron 21 -- after four months
of training -- flew their first T-407 mission alone on April 28 in what was
termed a milestone for the helicopter program.
