JERUSALEM [MENL] -- Israel has been quietly struggling to form policy
toward the emerging Islamic regime in Egypt.
Officials said Israel's military and government were meeting on a
regular basis to discuss Egypt and the threat from an Islamic regime. They
said the sessions included a review of scenarios and policy options to
prevent Egypt from canceling its peace treaty with Israel and remilitarizing
the Sinai Peninsula.
