Israel's Military Threatens Major Cuts
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- In what has become an annual ritual, Israeli military
commanders have threatened to cut major programs because of a budget
shortfall.
Military sources said Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz was studying a
range of options to cover a budget shortfall for 2012. They said the
military was denied additional funds to cover emergency expenditures and
intends to suspend training in April.
