Israel Sets $4b In BMD Needs
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- The Israeli military has determined the need for $4
billion for ballistic missile defense by 2015.
Officials said the military has been discussing its BMD requirement with
both the Defense Ministry and Finance Ministry amid plans to reduce the
defense budget. They said the $4 billion would be required for thousands of
short-, medium- and long-range interceptors as well as long-range radar to
detect Iranian launches.
