TEL AVIV [MENL] -- The Israel Army tested new counter-insurgency tactics
during the 22-day war in the Gaza Strip.
Military sources said the tactics were meant to fight Hamas and
Hizbullah in urban areas. They said the methods included the use of
manneqins and obscurants to conceal operations and draw enemy fire.
"The methods were based on precise intelligence as well
as the element of surprise," a military source said.
