Yemen Foils Al Qaida Plot
CAIRO [MENL] -- Yemen has reported foiling an Al Qaida plot to attack
Western interests in the Gulf Arab state.
Officials said security forces dismantled an Al Qaida cell that planned
to attack government and Western targets in Sanaa and other cities. They
said two of the cell members were killed and another was captured.
"In the house where the four terrorists were hiding we found two
explosive belts, two Kalashnikovs, a number of hand grenades, and a
motorcycle was used for their transportation," a security official said.
