UAE Woos Western Defense Majors

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has been wooing Western majors
to establish a presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council state.
Officials said Abu Dhabi has been promoting the emirates as a potential
production and service center for all six GCC states. They said UAE
companies were prepared to serve as partners to Western majors in the area
of coproduction, maintenance and marketing.
