U.S. Detects Iranian Arms To Yemen Rebels

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- After years of denial, the United States has determined
that Iran was supporting Shi'ite rebels in Yemen.
Officials said Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was training and
supplying a force of at least 5,000 Shi'ite rebels in northern Yemen near
the border with Saudi Arabia. They said IRGC intensified its military
support of the so-called Believing Youth movement in 2011 amid the revolt
against then-President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
