Syria Prepared For Nuke Weapons
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. intelligence community has determined that
Syria oversaw the construction of a facility meant to produce nuclear
weapons.
A report by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence asserted
that Syrian President Bashar Assad worked with North Korea to develop
nuclear weapons capability. The report, titled "Acquisition of Technology
Relating to Weapons of Mass Destruction and Advanced Conventional
Munitions," concluded that Pyongyang completed the Kibar facility in
northwestern Syria, which would have provided the components for Assad's
first atomic bombs.
