WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Algeria has been accused of lacking a strategy to
counter Al Qaida in North Africa.
A report said Algeria, which opposes Western intervention, has failed to
develop a regional security strategy, particularly against AQIM. Titled
"Terrorism In The Sahel: Time To Rethink U.S. Military Arrangements With
Algeria," the report blamed Algeria for the collapse of neighboring Mali,
long supported by Algiers.
