JERUSALEM MENL] -- The umbrella rebel force in Syria has been recruiting Al
Qaida-aligned fighters from Asia and Africa, a report said.
The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs asserted that the Free Syrian
Army, regarded as the secular face of the Sunni revolt, has been competing
with Islamic militias amid the war against the regime of Syrian President
Bashar Assad. In a report, author Jacques Neriah said FSA was recruiting
Islamic fighters from such countries as Afghanistan and Pakistan.
