Israel's PM Criticized In Flotilla Clash
JERUSALEM [MENL] -- Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has been criticized
for the bloody Israel Navy interception of a Turkish flotilla headed for the
Gaza Strip in 2010.
A report by the State Comptroller determined that Netanyahu ignored
military warnings of a battle aboard a Turkish-flagged ship that sought to
break the siege on the Gaza Strip. In a 153-page report, Comptroller Micha
Lindenstrauss concluded that Netanyahu's decisions were hasty, uninformed
and failed to consider violent Turkish resistance to the Israel Navy
interception.
