TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Saudi Defense Minister Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, the
kingdom's new crown prince, has also been hampered by poor health, a report
said.
The Institute for National Security Studies asserted that Salman had
been the only option for the royal family to succeed the late Crown Prince
Nayef, who died on June 16. The rest of the senior leadership was said to be
incapable of functioning on a daily basis.
