GCC Wary Over Egypt's Pres.
ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The Gulf Cooperation Council has become wary of Egypt's
new Islamist president.
Officials and diplomats said the six GCC states were concerned that the
new Muslim Brotherhood-dominated government in Cairo would seek to bolster
the Islamic movement throughout the Gulf. They said the Brotherhood, lined
to Al Qaida, has been deemed a leading threat to the region.
