Syria's Tlas Left After Spat With Assad

LONDON [MENL] -- Syrian Brig. Gen. Manaf Tlas left for exile after a
long-running feud with the regime of President Bashar Assad.
Opposition and Western diplomatic sources said Tlas, who arrived in
Paris in July 2012, was not expected to become a senior figure in the revolt
against Assad. They said Tlas' departure from Syria was the result of a
personal feud with Assad over promotions and money.
