Alawites Express Criticism Of Assad

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Members of the ruling Alawite community have been openly
criticizing Syrian President Bashar Assad.
Western diplomats and opposition sources report open and increasing
criticism of the Assad regime. They said anti-Assad slogans were chanted in
several Alawite neighborhoods amid the spike in the Sunni revolt.
