LONDON [MENL] -- The French leadership was said to be divided over a
Lebanese request for missiles.
French sources said the government in Paris has failed to reach an
agreement with parliament over the export of advanced anti-tank guided
missiles to Lebanon. They said the Foreign Ministry has urged such military
aid while the Defense Ministry, military and some parliamentarians remain
opposed.
