WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The ruling Muslim Brotherhood has succeeded in coopting
Egypt's military command.
A leading analyst asserted that Egypt's first Islamist president led an
effort to divide the military ruling council. Within weeks of assuming
office, President Mohammed Morsi persuaded junior members of the Supreme
Council of Armed Forces to topple Egypt's defense minister and chief of staff.
