Assad Top Arms Source For Rebels

NICOSIA [MENL] -- President Bashar Assad's military has become a leading
arms source of Sunni rebels sworn to overthrow him.
Sunni rebels have reported the use of abduction of Syrian soldiers and
police for both money and weapons. They said the families of the captives
pay hundreds of dollars or provide their equivalent in weapons stolen from
Assad's arsenals.
