Iran Expands Control Of Assad Forces

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has expanded control of the military and security
forces of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
A senior Iranian official said Teheran, particularly the Islamic
Revolutionary Guard Corps, intensified participation in Assad's war against
Sunni rebels. The official suggested that IRGC was involved in battle plans
and field operations.
