Congress Probes Consulate Strike In Libya
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Congress, angered by reports that the State Department
failed to take seriously threats by Al Qaida, plans to
investigate the storming of the American consulate in Libya in which four
diplomats were killed.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has scheduled a
hearing for Oct. 10 to probe the Al Qaida-aligned attack on the U.S.
consulate in the Libyan port of Benghazi.
