New Saudi Int. Min. Flexes Muscles

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia's new interior minister has ordered a
crackdown on the Shi'ite minority to shore up his credentials as the
kingdom's new security chief, a report said.
The Institute for National Security Studies asserted that Saudi Interior
Minister Prince Ahmed Bin Abdul Aziz has ordered the arrest of suspected
Shi'ite agitators in the Eastern Province. In a report, the Israeli
institute said Ahmed, who entered his post in July, has sought a tough
approach to security threats in the Gulf Cooperation Council kingdom.
